Elizabeth M. O’Raffity immigrated to the US from Trinidad, WI in 1967. Her fascination with the sciences and outdoor sports led her to pursue a degree in Biomedical Technology. Choosing to work with youth, Elizabeth has had over 36 years of experience in Science Education and the Arts. Working in the NYC Department of Education as a Teacher and Administrator, Liz developed the ability to assess needs, develop a plan and facilitate relationships. Her Consultancy, Growing STEMz, Inc., includes professional development, curriculum design, College and Career Readiness and grant writing.with diverse groups in diverse environments. She currently serves on the board of STEAM Urban of NJ and Esperanza Dutchess County Hispanic Organization as well as the Clarkson University/Beacon Institute of Rivers and Estuaries Leadership Council. She is also an accomplished pianist and promotes music and math with digital learning experiences by way of her LLC, Feelings and Music Productions.
